Leadership

The firm is led by partner Gilberto José Vaz, who has worked in projects, construction projects, planning and procurement, and has also managed companies in the infrastructure sector.

Mr. Vaz graduated in Law and Civil Engineering, and post graduated in Economics and in Contract Administration, (London). He is also a mediator through Fundación Libra, in Buenos Aires, as well as through the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution (“CPR”) in NY; and he is Chair by the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation in Seattle.

Gilberto José Vaz is a founding member of the Brazilian Institute of Construction Law – “IBDiC”, as well as a member of the DRB-Foundation, having been its representative in Brazil from 1996 to 2016, and he is the general director of the Region 2 since 2019. He is a licensed project management instructor of Fundação Dom Cabral/MG and a visiting professor in the GVLaw/FGV-RJ and PUC/MG post graduation courses.

He is also an arbitrator in the CCI-Paris, FGV, and CAESP chambers, in the Instituto de Engenharia de São Paulo and in CAM-BM&FBOVESPA. He is listed in the following courts: CAM-CCBC, FIESP, CREA-MG, CMAIE, CEBRAMAR-DF, CBMA-RJ and CAMARB. He is the vice president of CAMARB- the Brazilian Chamber of Corporate Arbitration.
